Since 2004, Frank Minard has brought his decades of his experience to his role of managing partner at XT Capital Partners. His pathway to this executive position includes working as the chairman of Investor Force, as the global Head of Marketing and Client Services at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter Investment Management, as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Global Investment Management with Bankers Trust and as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Mitchell Hutchens Asset Management. Earlier in his career, Mr. Minard served as the Director of Sales, Marketing and Client Services for Oppenheimer Capital, as Vice President for Equitable Life Assurance Society, as Vice President of the Technology Services Division at Bankers Trust and as an assistant treasurer at New Jersey Bell.
While working at New Jersey Bell, Mr. Minard attended Rutgers University, receiving an MBA in finance with honors in 1975. He had previously earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1969. He considers the highlight of his career to be his work at Mitchel Hutchins, where he was able to integrate a distinctive investment management firm primarily into a brokerage firm structure. Mr. Minard integrated the management side with the brokerage side. During this time, Morgan Stanley had 170 people working for him worldwide with five offices in Asia and five in Europe. Mr. Minard visited each of these offices. During his first year there, they raised about $38 billion, which was the largest increase that Morgan Stanley ever had in a single year. Furthermore, when he worked at AT&T, he ran an in-house index fund in the late 1970s; it was the largest internally-managed group asset. In 2007, Mr. Minard was honored with the Richard A. Lothrop Lifetime Outstanding Achievement Award.
